We LOVE Dharma Rescue & know you will, too!
As the holiday season approaches, we are excited to share that we have chosen Dharma Rescue in Torrance, CA, as our new charity partner! This amazing non-profit organization cares exclusively for disabled pets after rescuing them from high-kill shelters in Southern California. As you can imagine, seniors and disabled dogs are often the first to be euthanized in these environments. Dharma takes on some of the most challenging and needy animals within the shelter system.
Last Sunday, we had the great honor of visiting with the animals and founders while donating some of our Canine Cloud pet loungers/beds and much-needed supplies such as diapers. Dharma goes through about fifteen diapers a day for their cats and dogs, many of whom are paralyzed and incontinent. These animals are so loved and well-groomed by the Dharma volunteers.
Yorkie/terrier mix Mr. Pibs is pictured below. Animal control authorities confiscated him from his owner for cruelty. Dharma helped heal Mr. Pibs, who is now such a trusting and friendly little guy. Thirteen-year-old black senior poodle Dolly pictured below loves her new medium Canine Cloud. Dharma took Dolly in because her family didn’t want her after she injured her back and couldn’t walk. She has the sweetest personality and would make a great companion for someone special.
